The climate of the region is hot and dry in the summer and cold ad dry in the winter The rivers of Jhelum and Chenab pass from the river and that makes the area effective for cultivation. Jhummar is danced by men whereas women dance Sammi. Among the traditional wear, men ears turban with a Dhoti, women also wear a special type of Dhoti though the trend has been changed now and people have started wearing Shalwar kamez, the national dress of Pakistan. A shrine of famous Sufi Saint Sultan Bahu is also located in Jhang region.
