Malala Yousafzai, The Education Icon Finishes School

Malala Youzafzai is the youth icon famous all over the world for her bravery and how terrorism is against the education of girls in the conflicted area of Pakistan. She has been an advocated for the girls education in her native region of Swat at such a small age and at 2012 Taliban gunman shot her in the head but with the Gods grace she survived and ever since then she has been one of the world wide famous advocate for education of children and for Pakistani youth she has been a role model since then.

She has been moved to Britain after the incident and has been working with the United Nations and many other international organizations for the education sector. She also has been awarded an honorary Nobel Prize for peace. Malala Yousafzai continues to study in Britain and she has finished school as she announced this on her new twitter handle which she made. She tweeted that today is her last day of school and the very first day on Twitter. Her fan base is so huge that the followers crossed 135000 in just three hours of account opening.

After the shooting back in October 2012, she was moved to Birmingham and since then she has been studying there in a school which finished last week. Malala will be turning 20 this month. She has been a voice of girls education in Swat a remote area of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa and was shot when she was riding back home on a local bus after appearing in the examination.

She also mentioned that passing out the graduate school is ‘bittersweet’ for her as she is of the view that there are millions of girls who are out of school and are not going to complete their education due to certain reasons. She also mentioned that getting the opportunity to complete their education is what most girls cannot get and she will continue to advocate for the girls education all her life.

However she also mentioned that she is very excited that her higher education will be started now and now she will have a bigger impact on her mission of advocacy of girls’ right to education.

Malala Yousafzai is looking forward to the results of her Cambridge school examination of A levels which is due next month however she already has an offer to study in Oxford University, which is one of the oldest and finest educational institutes in the world. She will be studying Politics, Economics and Philosophy as her majors in the university and has said that the course she is pursuing in the university has produced a great names in politics and provided the world with the top leaders including the ex prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto.

Malala Yousafzai will definitely be coming back to Pakistan and will be joining the politics but that is too far to say anything, for now her focus is on studies and her advocacy on girls’ right of education.
