HEC Accepts Demands of TTS Teachers After Protest in Islamabad

TTS teachers have protested to fulfill their demands outside the headquarters in Islamabad on Monday. They claimed that there is a wide range of issue which are not addressed by higher education commission or universities due to which more than 6,000 TTS students in all over Pakistan who are affected by them.

TTS teachers have protested to fulfill their demands outside the headquarters in Islamabad on Monday. They claimed that there is a wide range of issue which are not addressed by higher education commission or universities due to which more than 6,000 TTS students in all over Pakistan who are affected by them.

TTS teachers demanded the immediate initiative to their issues which include: increase in salaries, pensions, journal policies, leaves, grade period and pending endorsement cases.

As a result of this protest HEC noted their demands and took initiative to accept their demands. HEC chairman Dr. Tariq Banuri, Executive Director Dr. Shaista Sohail and member operations Fateh Marri arranged a meeting with those TTC teachers and accepted their most of the demands.
HEC have issued a statement in which they have guaranteed to accept the demands of TTS teachers which are acceptable. For this HEC has issued three notifications in this week.

The first notification is about the increase in the tenure of TTS teachers from 6 to 9 years with a revied criteria for it. While the other two notifications are for clarification about administrative posts which are held by TTC teachers in the last years and complete policy guidelines for these positions to be hold in future.

Along which HEC has announced that their will be other two notifications will be issued within a month in which one notification is about increasement in salaries of TTS teachers and the other one is about the revised pension schemes for retired TTs teachers. HEC has taken this step to fulfill the demands of TTS teachers which they have claimed in a protest.
