Punjab Reduces Intermediate Syllabus

Higher education department Punjab has taken some important steps in education system due to this corona virus pandemic. HED has decided to reduce the syllabus of intermediate for the academic year 2021. Due to COVID-19 students didn’t got enough time to complete their whole syllabus within six months which is very less time.

Higher education department has taken this important step by keeping in view that the classes have started after almost a 3 months and students didn’t get enough time to cover the whole syllabus. So, there is a need to reduce the burden of students by reducing the syllabus of intermediate for year 2021.

According to resource it is said that only to the point and relevant topics will included in this syllabus for all subjects.

For this high-level committee lead by Punjab textbook board has been informed to provide this revised syllabus for 2021 before higher education department of Punjab.

Government of Punjab has also directed Punjab text book to shorten the syllabus of all classes up to the matric for academic year 2021. As a result of this PTB has reduced the syllabus of all subjects by almost 50% to help the students and reduce their burden.

The COVIID-19 pandemic is a worst health crisis which we all have faced and are still facing and it had affected the education of students as well. By this in mind higher education department Punjab has taken a great initiative because after reopening of educational institutes students nearly got six months to study so there is a need to reduce the syllabus to make our education system stable.

Higher education department Punjab has dedicated to shorten the syllabus of intermediate for a year 2021.
