Board of intermediate and secondary Education swat is a government educational body which came into existence in 1992. Since the establishment of board, it has a huge range of responsibilities which board is fulfilling very well. The jurisdiction of board includes: Swat District, Shangla and Buner. Board conducts exams of intermediate and secondary level every year. It is a responsibility of board to conduct exams, declare result and giving degrees to students. Besides intermediate and secondary level exams board have also a responsibility to conduct exams for certificate and diploma programs.
It is also compulsory for all students to clear these exams so that they can get promoted in next class. Those students who got failed in examination will have to Re-sit in supplementary exams which will be conducted by board after the announcement of final result.
