Board of intermediate and secondary education Azad Jammu and Kashmir came into existence in 1973 by the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Pakistan. Jammu and Kashmir Council is also known as BISE Mirpur which is playing very important role in making education system more stable in Pakistan. Board has conducted its first examination of intermediate and secondary level in 1974. Board has a responsibility to conduct exams in all its jurisdictions. The jurisdiction of AJK board includes: Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Poonch, Neelam and Bhimber. Board conducts exams of intermediate and secondary level every year. Board conducts exams of both private and regular students simultaneously.
