Gujranwala Board is among the most congested areas of Pakistan which holds the huge amount of students to control. PEC is the only responsible body of education which holds all rights to conduct and control the examination activity within the jurisdiction. Currently Commission is control this educational activity in all over the Province Punjab which holds 36 districts. It is the self governed authority which starts working since 2005 and it took first ever examinations from the year 2006. Later in 2009 it made these examination compulsory for every student who wish to move into next standard. But later due to some security reason it changes its rules and made it none compulsory. At the moment it is conducting the examinations from all over the province either candidates belong to Government schools or Private sector school system.
This commission is responsible to complete the enrollements from all over the Province under respective districts Offices. The registration is free of cost for every student. Each districts will get the respective registration software online for the enrollment purposes. The main porpuse of conducting these examinations are to assess the ability of local students with comparision to international education system.
